What we do with your information

This is a plain description of what our website does with the information you give it. It is written to be accurate rather than exhaustive, and it will be replaced by a fuller version reviewed by a lawyer.

Who we are

Apex Custom Coding builds custom operational software. We are a British Columbia business. If you have a question about your information, or want it removed, email info@apexcustomcoding.com.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our two forms. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies that follow you.

The contact form asks for your name, email, phone number, company, roughly how many people would use the software and a message.

The assessment at Find the Process asks for your name, company and email, at least one selection from a list of common problems, and then a series of optional questions about a process in your business: how you handle it today, where it breaks down, what it affects and what software you already use.

We never ask for card numbers, banking details, passwords or system credentials, and you should not send them to us.

With each submission we also record the date, a reference number and a one-way hash of your IP address, which we use to stop the forms being abused. We do not store the address itself.

Why we collect it

To answer you, and to understand the problem you are describing well enough to have a useful conversation about it. That is the only reason.

Where it goes

Your submission is stored on our own server, outside the public website.

A copy is also emailed to us the moment you send it. Our email runs through Zoho, and one of the addresses it reaches is a personal Microsoft Hotmail account belonging to one of the owners. So your information passes through those two companies as well as ours. We are telling you this because it is true, not because it is required.

It goes nowhere else. We do not sell it, and nobody outside Apex is given access to it.

How long we keep it

Submissions on our server are deleted twelve months after the month they arrive. That happens automatically on a daily schedule, not by hand.

The emailed copies are a separate matter and we want to be straight about it. They sit in our inboxes at Zoho and Microsoft until we delete them there, and the automatic deletion above does not reach them.

Asking for your information back or deleted

Email info@apexcustomcoding.com and tell us roughly when you got in touch. We can find an individual submission and remove it from our server, and we can delete the emailed copies from our own mailboxes.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
